Among the artworks by Georg Kolbe from Max Silberberg's collection there was also a statuette entitled "Desire“. In January 1924 the sculpture, with an indication of Silberberg's collection was depicted in an illustration in the periodical „Deutsche Kunst und Dekoration“. The collector must have offered this artwork, along with others at an auction in 1936, in the Berliner Paul Graupe Salon. The statuette was afterwards (1938) recorded by Hildebrand Gurlitt in Hamburg, who sold it to another private collection. In 2010 the artwork was once again offered at auction and before that date the contemporary owner of the statuette had entered into an agreement with the successors of Max Silberberg.
