Current location of an object: Museum Georg Schäfer, Schweinfurt
Other Relevant Historical Information:

The portrait was purchased by Max Silberberg in 1921, in the Berliner Salon Paul Cassirer. In 1935 Silberberg had to offer it on auction in the Salon Graupe. The painting was recorded in 1950 in the Galerie Abels and afterwards in Georg Schäfer's Collection.

In "Süddeutsche Zeitung", the following was stated as regards the looted art in Georg Schäfer's Collection: "Schweinfurt remain tight-lipped despite or perhaps because of the specific legal inquiries..." (Ira Mazzoni, Verweigerte Aufklärung, "Süddeutsche Zeitung", No. 287, 12.12.2013). Also in that case, as opposed to many artworks from Silberberg's collection, currently in public and private possession, no reliable and accurate solution has been found so far.
