Konrad von Falkenhausen (1843-1898)

In 1835 Konrad von Falkenhausen, lord of Wallisfurth, erected on his estate a new palace surrounded by a large garden.

Description of the collection:

It is likely that the art collection was created in relation to erecting the new palace in Wallisfurth. Konrad von Falkenhausen collected also coins and medals as well as archeological findings excavated in Silesia (e.g. Roman objects discovered in Wichulla in 1885 - today the place is a district of Opole named Gosławice). The collector donated a part of his archeological collection to museums in Breslau.
